Year 10 - CRICOS Code 051847G Print E-mail
Year 10 is the beginning of Senior School and, as such, provides the basis for the knowledge and skills needed for successful study in Year 11 and 12. The curriculum aims to provide the students with opportunities to develop key strategies in preparing for and completing assessment tasks while applying the skills and knowledge they have acquired in class. The students experience a range of subjects that will mean that they are able to make informed choices when choosing their subjects for Year 11 and 12.

Year 10 is a non-award program. This means that the students receive a Southern Cross High School year 10 Certificate of Completion but do not sit for the NSW Board of Studies School Certificate (which requires students to have completed a two year program consisting of Years 9 and 10).

Year 10 students receive additional English language support, with students having small group tutorials to assist them in further development of their English skills.

Students completing Year 10 will, therefore, have completed a program that prepares them for the academic and organisational demands of year 11 and 12.
